The following post is a test from the Immerging Self Indulgence Broadcasting System. If this was an actual post, you would be notified by somebody that would not bore you to tears with random pictures of a lazy Saturday at Tommy and Marc's place.

Gracie's favorite vantage point from the porch.
Look at that smile. Smile on a dog? A myth? I think not! Gracie is the ultimate daddy's girl and she knows it. That's a real smile, dammit.

Rex...having the inherent coat of his breed, is always in a perpetual "Bad Hair Day". He picks up burs, sweet gum heads, and random anythings that he comes into contact with.
Rex is like a living Swiffer mop.
I had to hold him still so Marc could get this shot of the random plant material that sticks to his hair when he goes out into the yard. He's the hardest to photograph. He is in constant, confused, fifth gear motion otherwise.

The sick hydrangea from the trash at Home Depot four years ago.
We brought her home. She looked dead for two years...then she just looked sorta sick for two years. I love all my plants, but this girl is my "baby" and my "pet".
This year? She came to life finally this year and now is a beautiful little shrub with quite a few gorgeous blooms. We knew that nature had given her a blow. Genetics and environment would have tossed her aside. But just look at her now.
She subsided on the piece-meal. We gave her a spot to inhale. We gave her space to exhale...a little more food than the others...a little more water than the others...just a little more effort than the others. But just look at her now.
Jesus on the road indeed.

The heliotrope in the butterfly garden.
The latin name meaning "reach for the sun", due to the way the flower heads follow the path of the sun all day. Marc and I named our corporation "Heliotrope LLC" for this flower. Much more about this plant to follow. wink wink

The first blooms on the 'Miss Huff' Lantana appeared this week.
Now the show begins. This bad girl attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and neighbors like a magnet. She blooms from now till Thanksgiving. She functions best in the light and warmth like me.
