Granted, Brothah Rogers was a "confirmed bachelor" with a penchant for smart zippy sweaters, crossed his legs like a girl, and his best pal was a mailman named "McFeely" , but let's not get into all that right now.
Hey now, JD...no sad smiles today. The Marcster and I looked at this post after I submitted it and laughed our ever-lovin asses off. I demand a happy giggly-ass smile from you. T

captain...even as a kid back in the 70's, I knew this stuff was CHEEEE-SY, but i liked it anyway. When we checked out some old footage from the show today, we laughed at how wierd the show was, but then realized what incredible life lessons we were learning from this oddball.

I agree, T....it is almost like visiting another world. So much has changed...which I s'pose everyone says as they age...but it truly does seem like a different world than the one I inhabited in 1966. Actually in many ways a better world, I think.
I agree Captain. More opportunities for everyone now is kinda what it boils down too. People are more comfortable now demanding their piece of the pie. Gone are the "good ol' boy days. I just gotta think that "good ol' humans" are gonna get us through it all now. I know I may not be making sense...time for another beer. T

You're make'n sense to me, T. What you speak of is the magic I've been searching for and sharing for a long time. But then it was a long time finding it....huh. Life really is circular. Here's to a peaceful, easy Saturday my friend!
Well alrighty then Cap'n! I'm thinkin' you and I would have some fun, holding court on the Dog House porch, messin' with these streamers. I feel a good old Dog House porch party comin' on.
The best thing about Mr. Rogers was his tone of voice. Always calm and just the right level. Kids seem to be especially sensitive to the tonality and emotion of the voice. Too bad more grown ups can't take to kids the way he did. Come to think of it...using that type of observation and inductive reasoning...I am still a kid even tho I'm 46. But I have no PROOF. oh, never mind...going back to the geometry...

Okay, T... I want in on your porch party!!! Got my Stoli and OJ right here...
Good ol' Mr. Rogers and Mr. McFeely. I wonder if they used to hang at the club and talk shop with Captain Kagaroo and Mr. Green Jeans after the show. :) -Six

And that hair....he's not fooling anyone. I heard he was a tiger in real life getting a lil something - something in public rest rooms at sporting events. But the bathrooms had to be FILTHY...uh, huh.

Well I can sleep now...I witnessed the reunion of Cheech and Chong and Laurel and Hardy and Feet and Longfellows...a most enjoyable sight...and i am going to sleep with the angels and I am wishing the same to you

Prank...that's a possibility for sure. Hell...Rogers even makes me feel ethnic...and that's pretty hard to do. Hope all is well with you tonight. Peace, T

ALWAYS a big comfy loveseat on the DH porch for you and the Prankster, Miss Six! Now pass that Stoli, honey.
I think Rogers, McFeely, Kangaroo, and Greenjeans DID hangout in the bars at night, singing Judy Garland songs and dicusssing antiques. The image of them in San Fran in the 70's all wearing leather chaps with their butt cheeks hanging out is a little disturbing, though.

Hmmmm...Lady Elaine Fairchild...I'd say female. It was that puppet that ran the windmill that always bugged me. I think she was a butch dyke...but I loves me some butch dykes, so that's cool.

Hi Madaleine...you have been missed aroud here, but I do understand real life rears it's ugly head. I am about to go into a period in which I will not be able to visit here much either.
Mister Rogers was a kid's TV host on Public Televison in the 70's thru the 90's. In essence, he was kind of a loveable oddball that taught US kids how to be passive democrats. Puppets and allergory was involved. (Seriously, it was a strange, but cute show)
Always nice to see you trolling around the Dog House, my dear.
Good post Biggie....You always make me smile (sometimes sad smiles) but smiles nonetheless
(
But I could be wrong...
Good ol' Mr. Rogers and Mr. McFeely. I wonder if they used to hang at the club and talk shop with Captain Kagaroo and Mr. Green Jeans after the show. :) -Six
So glad to make your acquaintance!
Pye
Zips up his sweater and then S-L-O-W-L-Y zips it down...
Mmmmmmmmmmm
I heard he was a tiger in real life getting a lil something - something in public rest rooms at sporting events.

He used to sing this song about, "You can never go down the drain"...cracked me up every time.
So, here is a question for you....Lady Elaine Fairchild.....Lady or not...?
